Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to Autonomy websites, apps, command-line tools, MCP servers, accounts, alpha programs, feedback channels, paid features, and related services. By using Autonomy, you agree to these Terms. If you use Autonomy for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
If you have a separate written agreement with Autonomy for a pilot, enterprise deployment, or paid plan, that written agreement controls where it conflicts with these Terms.
What Autonomy Does
Autonomy is accessibility-native infrastructure for agentic computer use. It helps agents understand software through accessibility systems, user permissions, assistive technology context, and deliberate review flows. Autonomy may include a macOS app, CLI, MCP server, browser or overlay packages, hosted services, admin tools, alpha communities, and integrations with third-party AI or developer tools.
Accounts and Eligibility
You are responsible for the information you provide, your account security, and all activity under your account or credentials. You must use Autonomy only if you can form a binding agreement and comply with applicable law. Autonomy alpha and paid programs may be limited by invitation, geography, platform, device capability, or account status.
Permissions, Automation, and User Responsibility
Some Autonomy features require sensitive platform permissions, including Accessibility, Screen Recording, automation, notifications, local files, or integration tokens. You are responsible for deciding which permissions to grant, reviewing agent actions, and making sure your use of Autonomy is appropriate for your work, device, organization, and legal obligations.
Autonomy is meant to assist users, not replace judgment. Do not use Autonomy as the sole control path for emergency, medical, safety-critical, financial trading, legal filing, or other high-risk activity unless a separate written agreement expressly authorizes that use.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Autonomy to:
- Break the law, violate rights, or bypass access controls, security systems, rate limits, or consent flows.
- Collect, expose, or misuse another person's private information without permission.
- Transmit malware, harmful code, spam, deceptive content, or abusive automation.
- Interfere with Autonomy, its users, its infrastructure, or third-party services.
- Reverse engineer hosted services or commercial controls except where law expressly permits.
- Use Autonomy in ways that create unreasonable safety, security, privacy, or accessibility risk.
AI Providers and Third-Party Services
Autonomy may let you connect third-party AI providers, developer tools, community platforms, cloud services, payment processors, or app distribution platforms. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. Autonomy is not responsible for third-party services, model outputs, outages, policy changes, or data handling outside our control.
Paid Features, Trials, and Entitlements
Some features may require a paid plan, pilot agreement, license, subscription, or entitlement. Prices, plan limits, feature availability, refund eligibility, and renewal terms may be described at checkout, in an order form, or in a separate agreement. Unless a checkout flow or written agreement says otherwise, paid access is provided for the stated plan period and may change as the product evolves.
Alpha and Beta Software
Alpha, beta, preview, experimental, or early-access features may be incomplete, unstable, rate-limited, changed, suspended, or discontinued at any time. They may include bugs, data loss, incorrect agent behavior, missing accessibility coverage, or breaking changes. Additional alpha terms may apply.
Your Content and Feedback
You keep ownership of content, prompts, workflows, files, feedback, bug reports, and other materials you provide. You grant Autonomy the rights needed to operate, secure, debug, support, and improve the service, including the right to use feedback and suggestions without restriction or compensation.
Do not submit information you do not have the right to share. Avoid sending secrets, credentials, private health information, sensitive financial records, or other highly sensitive content through ordinary feedback or community channels.
Autonomy Materials
Autonomy and its software, websites, designs, documentation, trademarks, hosted services, commercial controls, and related materials are owned by Autonomy or its licensors. Except for rights granted by an open-source license or a separate written agreement, you may not copy, modify, distribute, host, sell, or sublicense Autonomy materials.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use information. By using Autonomy, you agree that we can process information as described there and as needed to provide the service.
Suspension and Termination
You may stop using Autonomy at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for users or the service, failed to pay amounts due, or used Autonomy in a way that could harm Autonomy, other users, or third parties.
Disclaimers
Autonomy is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, compatible with every app, suitable for every assistive technology setup, or able to complete every workflow correctly.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Autonomy will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, or substitute services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid Autonomy for the service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or 100 US dollars.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product, laws, or business changes. If an update materially affects your rights, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
